A little late to the party on this one, but the DC Comics and Noir Jewelry collaboration – ah-mazing (and picture that in comic book POW!-bubble style for full effect).  Who knew comics were so couture?

I’m always a sucker for a statement ring, and the Cat Woman styles are wildly ferocious (although the Gotham City is a very close second).  These bejeweled claws come in silver or black, long or short, and look great in groups.  Of course, for (semi)realistic street wear I’d stick to just one or two.

I’ve actually attempted the look before in a set of extra-long claws the darling D.ama gave me off one of her shoots.  Sticking to pinky fingers, I got through a day helping out at the salon desk with only minor challenges (the main danger being forgetting and leaving a nasty scratch across my cheek – narrowly averted).  Overall the risk was worth the serious fashion force these pack.

This is not the first claw to make my mental covet list.  I’ve been noticing similar styles from many designers, including Meadowlark and Obey.  I wouldn’t go so far as to call the trend mainstream, but I didn’t get any strange looks wearing them.  So what do you think: Will you be donning cat claws anytime soon?
